The Dream Team is the volunteer ministry at DC. True significance is found through serving, and you're most like Christ when you are serving others.
Meet our Connections Pastor • Chris Raymer
"I know God has blessed me with the gifts I have and allowed me to see them and work in them. I love being the connections pastor because of the relationships I make each and every week as I serve God and others."
Chris' favorite verse is Mark 1:17: "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."
That verse is inspiration for Chris' vision for our church family: to constantly inviting people to DC Church. In our jobs, sports teams, neighborhoods, and in any facet of life, we are to love, serve, and invite others to follow Jesus.
Chris' hobbies include sports, mainly softball. He can always be found cheering for and supporting our women's and men's softball teams.

How Mike got to serve at DC: "I moved from NY to Wilson in 1995 and became involved with Farmington Height Church of God eventually serving with Scott Sauls in the teen group. I moved to Harnett county in 1999, but did not connect with a church in the area. About the time I started taking classes at Liberty in 2012, I had an assignment requiring me to connect with someone in the ministry that mentors. I was able to reconnect with Scott, who suggested I try out Jimmy’s church and so I did."
How long have you been going to DC: "About 3 years."
Why Mike chose the Dream Team ministry and what he loves most about it: "I like to help people and I like to be proactive in setting things up so I like the scheduling part the best."
The vision Mike has for his ministry: "To find each person a position on the team that they can serve to their fullest."
Favorite verse: "For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10.
Favorite worship song: "We Believe" by the Newsboys.
Random facts: "I try to be the first to help and the last to leave. I am not impressed with titles, I am impressed with action. If I watch a game , I do not mind watching either college football: Campbell Camels, pro football: Pittsburgh Steelers or hockey: Toronto Maple Leafs."
